Johnson, Eleanor K.Sept. 7, 1916 - April 26, 2008Eleanor K. Johnson, 91, Venice, formerly of Illinois, died April 26, 2008.Graveside services will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Venice Memorial Gardens. Survivors include her son, Norman Johnson; grandsons Corey and Todd Zentefis; and nephew, James Froggatt.Eleanor was born Sept. 7, 1916, in Illinois to the late Rose and Charles Baumann. After her late husband, Clayton L. Johnson retired in 1978 as chairman of Cook County Federal Savings and Loan, the family moved to Nokomis. Her favorite activities included painting and ceramics. She loved animals, which were a frequent subject of her art. She was a gentle and kind person who will be greatly missed. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son Blair Johnson and her sister Charlotte Froggatt. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Mrs. Johnson's name be made to a favorite charity.
