JOHNSON, Eleanor (nee Lachapelle) 82 years, on Friday, July 21, 2006, at Chatham Kent Health Alliance, formerly of Belle River. Predeceased by her husbands, Lloyd Johnson (1987) and Raymond Laporte (1981). Dear mother of Laurie Ferrrari and Leonard, Larry Laporte and Pauline, Charlene Gignac and friend Frank Potvin, Doreen Crew and Mel. Meme to 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Dear sister to Leonard Lachapelle, May Cote and Jean, predeceased by Gerry Lachapelle and Bernice Trepanier. Eleanor was a member of the Good Neighbour Club. Visiting Mon. and Tues., from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral procession leaves Wed., July 26, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. from Melady Funeral Home, 572 Notre Dame St., Belle River, 728-1500, to St. Simon & St. Jude Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment St. Simon & St. Jude Cemetery. Good Neighbour Club prayer serice Tues. at 3 p.m. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A tree will be planted in memory of Eleanor Johnson in the Melady Heritage Forest.
