MACDONALD, Eleanor Elizabeth (Helen) (nee Tew) - WWII Veteran Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Etobicoke General Hospital on Saturday, January 17, 2009, Helen MacDonald in her 89th year. Lovingly remembered by her husband Ralph, daughter Diane (O'Neil), sons Greg and Kevin, granddaughter Laurel (O'Neil), sisters Marjorie (Wright), Orla (Fisher), brother Lloyd and predeceased by brother Jex. Helen will be sadly missed by her relatives, friends, neighbours and her many companions in area volunteer work. Resting at the NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Ave. (North of Rexdale Blvd.) from Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Helen's life will take place at St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, 2194 Kipling Ave. on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to St. Benedict's St. Vincent de Paul Society or the charity of your choice.
