Eleanor C. James, 91, died Aug. 2, 2010, at St. Lucie Medical Center, Port St. Lucie. She was born in Morristown, N.J., and lived in Port St. Lucie for 36 years, coming from Scotch Plain, N.J. She was a member of Indian River Presbyterian Church, Fort Pierce. She was a member of the Spanish Lakes bowling club, former Spanish Lakes Dance Club treasurer and former member of the Safety Patrol. Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Jesse James of Port St. Lucie; daughters, Nancy Walters of Buena Vista, Colo., and Maggie Davis of Santa Barbara, Calif.; son, David James of N. Fort Myers; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 901 Johnson Ave., Stuart, FL 34994. Services: A service will be at 9 a.m. Aug. 9 at Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, with the Rev. Bryan L. Wenger officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce.
