LOZO, Eileen Marie June 18, 1922 - September 17, 2008 Eileen passed away peacefully in Calgary at the age of 86 years. Eileen is survived by her daughter Betty Lou (Trevor), son Rodger (Nola), son John (Paulette) and brother Ken (Karen). She is also survived by her grandchildren Amber (Wes), Michael, Danielle and Stephanie as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Nan leaves cherished memories with her grandchildren. Eileen was predeceased by her husbands, Charles Hamilton in 1966, Earl Lozo in 1976 and her companion Gerald Henshaw in 2006; her mother Mae Eclair in 1981, her father Chauncey John Pattison in 1987, her brothers Dave in 1946, Russell in 1985 and Don in 1986. Eileen was born on the farm in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan. From Shaunavon Eileen moved with her family to Naples, Idaho, where her father worked in logging camps for five years. They returned to Shaunavon, where they continued to farm until 1935 at which time they moved to Neeb, Saskatchewan. Eileen remained there until she married Charles Hamilton, a Northern Stores Manager for the Hudson Bay Co. on September 1, 1942. In 1948 after being posted by the Hudson's Bay Co. to several locations in Northern Quebec and British Columbia Charles resigned. They took their now growing family to Flin Flon, Manitoba where he was employed by the Hudson's Bay Mining and Smelting Co. Eileen and Charles raised their young family in Flin Flon and Eileen remained there until shortly after Charles' death. During her years in Flin Flon Eileen was active in the church, the community and the lives of her children and their friends. She moved to Calgary in 1968 with her two youngest children and remained there until her passing. During her years in Calgary Eileen's home was a gathering place for family and friends. Eileen always made you feel welcome and over the years hosted many gatherings and dinner parties. Eileen was a gentle and loving person and she will be missed by her family and friends. Eileen's family wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Bethany Harvest Hills, for the compassionate and extraordinary care given to our Mother during her final two years. At Eileen's request the Funeral was a private family affair. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Calgary, No. 201, 222 - 58 Avenue S.W., Calgary, Alberta in memory of Eileen.
