Eileen L. Fleming, 90, Newland, N.C., and formerly of Venice, died Feb. 3, 2003. She was born Sept. 17, 1912, in New York City and moved to Venice in 1982 from East Had- dam, Conn. She moved to Newland in 2002. She was a medical assistant in a physician's office and was a member of Epiphany Cathedral. Survivors include her husband, Edwin A.; a son, Paul of Portsmouth, R.I.; a daughter, Dr. Jane Owen of Oakmont, Pa.; and four grandchildren. No services are scheduled. Ewing Funeral Home is in charge.
