Edyth A. Williamsof Hallstead, Pa.Edyth A. Williams, 85, Hallstead, Pa., passed away July 12, 2006 in Binghamton, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Frank S. and Louella Thomas Lewis. Edyth was predeceased by her husband, Gordon E. Williams, Sr. in 1975. Surviving are two sons, Gordon E. Williams, Jr. and wife, Linda, Hallstead, Pa., and Gary E. Williams, Montrose, Pa.; two sisters, Dorothy Morrison and Iva Margets; a brother-in-law, Earl Williams, Jr. and wife, Betty; a sister-in-law, Pearl Williams; three grandchildren, Lisa Brown and husband, Craig, Jamie Williams and Jessie Wright; four great-grandchildren, Heather, Christopher, Damon and Courtney; and several nieces and nephews. Edyth was a member of the United Methodist Community Church, Great Bend, Pa. She was active in numerous civic groups including serving as an Executive Director and Curator of Old Mill Village Museum; a Founding Member and First President of the Business and Professions Women's Club of Pa.; a Founding Member and First President of the Hallstead Civic Club; a member of the Harford Agricultural Society for many years and served as its Superintendent; the former President of the Tri Boro Women's League. She enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a conservationist. She was a former member of the Hallstead Great Bend Rod and Gun Club and a former Girl Scout Leader.A funeral service will be held at Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, 5 Susquehanna Avenue, Hallstead, Pa., on Saturday, July 15th, at 11:00 a.m. with Mr. Eddie Arnold officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hallstead, Pa. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.
