Edwin Jerrell Smith, 75, passed away July 2, 2007, at ECM Hospital. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Florence and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.The visitation will be Wednesday, July 4, 2007, from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be July 5, 2007, at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Larry Wright officiating.Entombment will be in the Love Mausoleum in Greenview Memorial Park.Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Gladys Smith.His gentle love will be missed by his wife of 53 years, Annie Faye Lankster Smith; daughter, Pamela Campbell (Guy); granddaughter, Sarah Campbell; sister, Joyce Webb (Max); brother, Marlon (Jimmy) Smith.Pallbearers will be deacons of First Baptist Church of Florence.In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 209 N. Walnut St., Florence, AL 35630.Arrangements are by Greenview Funeral Home.
