Edward Casey, 83, died Jan. 23, 2013, at Treasure Coast Hospice, Fort Pierce. He was born in Salem, W.Va., and lived in Fort Pierce for 26 years, coming from Delaware. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of First Methodist Church of Port St. Lucie, Society of Mayflower Descendants and Sons of the American Revolution (Florida Society). Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Dolores J "Dee" Casey of Fort Pierce; son, Steven L. Casey of Norfolk, Va.; stepson, Jeffrey L Bird of Smyrna, Del.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Eileen Casey; son, William M. Casey; and daughter, Susan Colleen Casey. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S.E.
