Edward Arthur Harrington July 23, 1932 - November 08, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Glen Eden Funeral Home (Winnipeg) On Monday, November 8, 2004, Edward passed away at Deer Lodge Centre, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife Francisca (Nancy); daughters Joyce (John), Carmen (David), Donna, Nora, Anita (Brad) and Tina; step daughter Helen; grand children Amana, Dawn, Laurie-Anne, Frank, Gordon, Trevor, Darnell, Justin, David, Benita, Dylan; Jeffrey, Ferlyn-Ann; great-granddaughters Aiesha and Rylee as well as extended family. Edward was a Korean War Veteran and joined the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery where he served three tours of duty. Later on, he became a communications Sergeant, with the Fort Garry Horse. He earned the rank of Sergeant Major prior to retirement. Edward took classes at the University of Winnipeg in Museology to become museum curator of the Fort Garry Horse Military Museum and the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame. Prayers will be said on Thursday, November 11, at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 12, at 2:00 p.m., also in the chapel, with viewing one hour prior. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. “I’ll be forever grateful for your love and you! To a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
