WARREN, Pa. – Edna Mae Williams, 87, formerly of Cambridge Warren, passed away on Sunday (Aug. 19, 2012), at Warren Manor.Mrs. Williams was born Jan. 3, 1925, in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late George and Hazel (Brown) Ernst. She was a graduate of Little Valley High School and then attended Jamestown Business Institute. Mrs. Williams was always taking a craft class and her family often received her crafts as gifts. She was a huge animal lover and especially loved when her son, James, would bring his dogs to visit.She is survived by her sons, James (Odette) Hice of Dunkirk and Eugene (Amy) Williams of Olean; and her daughter, Karen (Tom) Mazzu of Russell, Pa.; two grandchildren, Daniel Hice and Jennifer Knisley; three great-grandchildren, Richard and Jacob Knisley and Whitney Hice; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ebenezer Williams, whom she married on Jan. 14, 1955, in Bradford, Pa. and two brothers, Edwin and George Ernst.Friends were received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave. E., Warren, Pa. on Thursday (Aug. 23, 2012), for one hour prior to the funeral service held at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dave Heckman, pastor, Russell United Methodist Church, officiating.Burial was in the Little Valley Rural Cemetery.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Warren County Humane Society, 212 Elm St., Warren, Pa. 16365, or the Warren Library Association, 205 Market St., Warren, Pa. 16365.
