Edna M. Stroud, 90, who had lived in the Miller area of Indiana until moving to Ormond Beach, died Monday, March 27, 2006, at Fountainview Place Health Care, Portage, Ind. Service will be Friday, March 31, at 11 a.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, Ind., with the Rev. Terry Rhine officiating. Interment will be in Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, Ind. Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Stroud was born July 14, 1915, in Camden, N.J., to Henry J. Miller and Sarah Payne. She married Lincoln H. Stroud on July 29, 1939, in Merchantville, N.J. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of the Riverview Methodist Church, Ormond Beach. She was also preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers. Survivors include sons, James (Susan) Stroud, Hobart, Ind., and Robert (Diane) Stroud, Gilbert, Ariz.; daughters, Barbara Stroud, Chesterton, Ind., and June (Dr. V. Eugene) Reisinger, Hobart; sister, Mabel Cutler, Morristown, N.J.; sister-in-law, Ruth Stroud Carpenter, Florida; grandchildren, Christopher (Leslee) Stroud, Gilbert, Susan (David) DeJonge, Grand Rapids, Mich., Thomas (Tina) Reisinger, Westerville, Ohio, Shelley Stroud, Gilbert, and Jeffrey Stroud, Hobart; great-grandchildren, Andrew Reisinger, Jacob Stroud and David Reisinger; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Chesterton. Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, Chesterton, Ind., is in charge of arrangements.
