Edna Guffey Taylor, 93, formerly of 916 St. Mark Road, widow of Gettis (Bus) Taylor, died Feb. 12, 2003, at Roger Huntington Nursing Center. A native of Judson, N.C., daughter of the late Lafayette and Mary Howard Guffey, she was a homemaker, and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Sue Copeland, of Greer; five sons, Billy Taylor, of Travelers Rest, Don Taylor, Charles Taylor and Bob Taylor, all of Taylors, and Jim Taylor, of Greer; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., today, at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. James Crocker and Dr. Paul Welch. Burial will follow at Double Springs Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Donnie Taylor, Johnny Taylor, Zane Taylor, Kenny Taylor, Lee Copeland, Tony Taylor, Scott Taylor and Ricky Taylor. The family is at the home of the daughter: 121 Cherry Lane, Greer. Memorials may be made to Double Springs Baptist Church, 3800 Locust Hill Road, Taylors, SC 29687; or, to the charity of one's choice.
