Edna Flanagan Kidd Jordan, 85, of Oakwood, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The Rev. Allen Passmore, the Rev. Donald Miller and the Rev. James Campbell will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, from 2–4 p.m. and 6–9 p.m. at the funeral home.Mrs. Jordan was born Jan. 12, 1926, in Gainesville to the late William Flanagan and Amy Brookshire Flanagan. She was retired from Piedmont Laboratories and was a member of South Hall Baptist Church. Edna was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Leroy Kidd; her son, Michael Dean Kidd; son-in-law, Clay Wallace; second husband, James E. Jordan; grandson, Shannon Williams; great-granddaughter, Alyssa Kidd; two sisters, Lucille Wasdin and Francis Strickland; and three brothers, James Flanagan, George Flanagan and Frank Flanagan.Mrs. Jordan is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Geneva "Genie" and Robert A. Williams of Gainesville and Betty Sue and Ted McIntyre of Oakwood; daughters, Juanita Wallace of Oakwood and Brenda Lee Kidd of Oakwood; son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Paula Kidd of Gainesville; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Myrtle Douglas of Oakwood, Martha Patterson of Oakwood, Wilma Peters of Chestnut Mountain and Margaret Douglas of Oakwood; and brother, Hoyt Flanagan of Gainesville.Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.Send online condolences to www.memorialparkfuneralhomes.com
