Born July 24, 1912 in Cedar Springs, Ga, she was the daughter of the late Edd Green Chambers and Eddie Mosely Chambers.On January 6, 1981 at First Baptist Church she married John E. Lane who preceded her in death. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include brothers and sisters in law Monty M. & Mabel Chambers of Tallahassee, Gerald L. & Gladys Chambers of Panacea, Fl.; sisters Carolyn Townsend, and Dorothy Grimsley both of Tallahassee; sisters-in-law, Peggy Williams of Morrow, Hazel Chambers of Gainesville, and Connie Chambers of Tallahassee.She was preceded in death by brothers, Edwin Chambers, Harry Chambers, D.E. Chambers, Oren Chambers, Hubert Chambers; sister, Verne C. Hicks; sisters in law, Lucille Chambers and Lena Jo Chambers. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Thomasville, P.O. Box 2790, Thomasville, Ga 31799.The family will receive friends 10:30 till service time at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
