Edmund Martin, 79, died at his Upper Deerfield Township home on Saturday evening October 26, 2013. The husband of Melitta Nurnberg Martin, he was born in Friedenstahl, Romania and was the son of the late Joannes and Katarina Kass Martin. After moving to the United States in 1952 from Germany, Mr. Martin lived in Seabrook and had resided at his current address for 53 years. He was an electrician who worked at Cini Electrical Contractors in Vineland before retiring. A member of the Good News Assembly of God Church in Upper Deerfield, he was an avid fisherman. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Edmund E. Martin, David R. Martin and Walter Martin, two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Martin and Andrew Martin and one brother, Arnold Martin. He was predeceased by a sister, Wilma Martin, who died at age four and a brother, Helmut Martin, who died in 2000. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Good News Assembly of God Church, 6 Holly Avenue in Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday afternoon October 30th at 2 o'clock where friends will be received from 1 until 2. Pastor Pat Zio will officiate. The burial will follow at Northville Lutheran Cemetery in Upper Deerfield. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Good News Assembly of God Church, 6 Holly Avenue, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
