Edmund David Malone SPARTANBURG, SC-- Edmund David Malone, 86, of 7212 Burnett Street, died on Friday, May 18, 2007 at Camp Care Nursing Home. Born on May 20, 1920 in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Edmund David Malone, Sr. and Jesse Mason Malone Luttrell. Mr. Malone was retired from Safety Railway Company and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where he was a member of the Golden Age Club. A Master Mason and Shriner, he was a 50 year member of Lone Oak Masonic Lodge 372 and a U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife of 67 1/2 years, Ida Bell Graham Malone; three daughters, Phyllis Whitmire of Miami, Fl, Peggy Cate and her husband, Virgil, of Spartanburg, and Patti Fowler and her husband Mark of Inman; four grandsons: David Cate and his wife, Carrie, of Mt. Holly, NC, Jason Cate of Concord, NC, Sgt Matthew Fowler and his wife, Abby, of Twentynine Palms, CA, and Mitchell Fowler of Inman; and two great-grandchildren, Rhys and Mattison Cate of Mt. Holly, NC. He was predeceased by a brother, Bill Malone and a sister, Maxine Rogers. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, May 20, 2007 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 21, 2007 at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Rufus Chaneyworth and the Rev. Ansel Norris. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
