Edith Mae VestWallace HyattHartselleFuneral for Mrs. Edith Hyatt of Hartselle will be Sunday, January 15, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Walter Blackman and Anthony Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.Mrs. Hyatt, who died Friday, January 13, 2012, was born January 18, 1927, to Virgil and Mary Vest, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, William B. Wallace and Roy Hyatt; grandson, Joseph Childers; brothers, Grady Vest, Franklin Vest, Jerry Vest and Dylan Vest; and brother-in-law, Stanley Ball. Mrs. Edith was a member of the East Highland Baptist Church and loved working in her flower garden.She is survived by her children, Ann Childers (Burl) of Eva, Kay Russell (Fuller) of Madison and Keith Wallace (Cathy) of Hartselle; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Jon) Bendickson, Chris (Stefanie) Wallace, Kevin Wallace, Steven (Tina) Childers, David Childers, Amanda Childers, Jay (Angel) Russell and Mardi (Morgan) Stewart; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, James Vest (Jean); four sisters, Lucille Ball, Reba Taylor, Judy Holland (Dan) and Janny Chaney; one sister-in-law, Diane Vest.Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
