Edith M. Van Horn Edith M. Van Horn, 80, of Port Saint Lucie, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 12, 2006, surrounded by her family. She was born in Trenton, New Jersey, where she lived most of her life until moving to Port Saint Lucie for the past 15 years. Mrs. Van Horn was a Master Teacher for the Hamilton Township School System in Hamilton, New Jersey. She enjoyed playing golf, doing needle work and was an accomplished seamstress. Edith was also active in the Savannah Club Community, Port Saint Lucie. Survivors include her husband, Leon C. Van Horn; 3 daughters, Claire Tindall and her husband, Bill, Kathy Eldracher and her husband, Jim, and Maureen Van Horn; 1 son, Leon Van Horn, Jr., and his wife, Joanne; brother, Robert Ball; 6 grandchildren, Billy and David Tindall, Michael and Katie Eldracher, Lee III and Allison Van Horn; and greatgrandchildren, Dominick, Nicholas and Cory Tindall. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Thursday, November 16th, at the Saint Lucie Catholic Church. Friends who wish may contribute to their favorite charity. Yates Funeral Home, Port Saint Lucie, has charge of the arrangements.
