Mr. Earl Davis, age 84 resident of Lake City, Fl. passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lake City, Fl. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Satsy Hillard Davis. He attended School in the Suwannee Valley Community. He confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior at Union A.M.E. Church where he held membership until he moved to Jacksonville, Fl. Upon relocating back to Lake City he united with Olivet Missionary Baptist Church where he remained a member until his health began to fail. He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted son, Barry L. Davis, Lake City; Grandchildren, Talmage, Orlando, Fl., Deidra and Abram Rossin, Lake City, and Joseph, Tampa, Fl; (7) great grandchildren; Two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Davis, Jacksonville, Fl. and Sarah Katie Davis, Jacksonville, Fl; Extended family Rosa Scott, Alonzo Jerry and Mel of Lake City; a host of nieces, nephews cousins, other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services for Earl Davis, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 25, 2009 at the Olivet Missionary Baptist Church; 541 N.E. Davis Street, Lake City, Fl with Rev. Ronald V. Walters, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in The Garden of Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 24, 2009 at Cooper Funeral Home, Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements Entrusted to COOPER FUNERAL HOME, 251 N.E.
