DavisEarl David Davis, age 77, passed away on August 10, 2013 at Brookhaven Health and Rehabilitation Center in Springfield MO. He was born in Springfield MO on July 26th, 1936 the son of Nellie and Everett Davis, who preceded him in death. He spent his early career as an over the road truck driver and later worked as a diesel mechanic for Associated Wholesale Grocers until he became disabled from a motorcycle accident in 1990. He was an active member of the Masons at Gate of the Temple Lodge No. 422 and Shriners in Springfield MO for many years. He is survived by one brother Jerry Davis, wife Anna Mae and family of Sparta MO; one sister Lois Cowan and family of Springfield MO, three children Celesta Hager, husband Larry of Jefferson City MO; Cecil Davis and wife Naomi of Springfield, MO, and JoEllen Davis of Jefferson City, MO., one grandson Nathan Davis, wife Ashley and two great grandchildren Lukas and Elizabeth; two step grandchildren Joshua Clair, wife Kayla and their 3 children Shelby, Evan and Brinley; Amanda Starr, husband Chivas and their 5 children Braden, Kalsee, Icis, Darshawn and Daevon. Visitation will held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 10-11 am with services to follow at 11am. Burial will follow at Marshfield City Cemetery.
