WOFFORD, Mrs. Evie Ethel, 89, a re-sident of Wetumpka, AL, died Thur-sday, March 13, 2003 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. from Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Wood and Rev. Garett Dykes offici-ating. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Magnolia Cemetery in Green-ville, AL. Miss Wofford was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Guy Wofford; daughters, Angie Wofford Abrams and Jewel Dean Wofford, and her son (Charles) Wayne Wof-ford. She is survived by two sons, Carlos (& Bettye) Wofford of Shreveport, LA and Wesley (& Wan-da)Wofford of Wetumpka; three daughters, Audrey (& James) Tay-lor of Wetumpka, Betty (& Steve) Withrow of Millbrook, and Karen (& Gerald) Hellums of Millbrook; three sisters, Aubra Dell Goldman of Kos-ciuska, MS, Jewel (& Elbert) Bush of Jackson, MS and Muzette Overs-treet of Jackson, MS; 13 grandchil-dren and 10 great-grandchildren.Active pallbearers will be Kevin Wofford, Kyle Taylor, Hudson Abrams, Keith Taylor, Wayne Wof-ford, Eric Hellums and Justin With-row. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Wofford, Aubrey Abrams, James Earl Taylor, Steve Withrow and Gerald Hellums. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Gassett Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, 504 W. Os-ceola St., Wetumpka, AL 36092
