WINTHROP -- Evelyn Wright Miller, 83, of Route 133, died, Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta.She was born in Readfield on Feb. 23, 1930, the daughter of Everett and Georgia (Rogers) Woodsome.She graduated from Readfield schools and moved to Winthrop, where she was a lifelong resident. She and her first husband owned and operated the Sunoco gas station on Main Street and later operated a station on U.S. Route 202. Evelyn had worked for many years at Carleton Woolen Mill in Winthrop, and was a member of the Faith Alliance Church. She enjoyed sewing, writing and drawing, but she mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.She is survived by her husband, Gerald H. Miller, of Winthrop; a son, Wayne Marshall Sr., of Arizona; two grandchildren, Wayne Marshall Jr. and Helen Gregoire, of Augusta; four great-grandchildren, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.Visiting will be from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at Roberts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop, followed by a celebration of her life at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Readfield Corner Cemetery.
