DAVIS, ESTHER JANE POLLOM 82, a resident of West Lafayette, IN, died at 5:58PM on April 7, 2006 in St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born to William Robert and Ruth Walter McClamroch on May 8, 1923 in Crawfordsville, IN. Esther married Robert L. Pollom on April 19, 1944 and he preceded her in death on September 24, 1959. She married Dale D. Davis on December 31, 1967 and he died October 8, 1992. She was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School and in addition to being a homemaker, worked as a secretary at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville from 1941-1944, and also worked for the City of Kissimmee, and the public school system of Kissimmee. Esther has been a member of Trinity United Methodist Church since 1968, and held memberships in the Daughters of the American Revolution, Dorothy Q. Chapter, and Needleworkers of Crawfordsville, and Art League of Crawfordsville. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Esther is survived by a daughter, Roberta J. (Ken) Murphy of Brandon, FL and two sons, Robert M. Pollom (Stephanie) of Boerne, TX and William B. Pollom (Martha) of Danville, KY. Also surviving are stepchildren, Karen Anderson (Ron) of Houston, TX, Steven Davis, Orlando, Dr. H. Jeffrey Davis (Leslie) of Noblesville, IN and Richard Davis (Sheila) of Evanston, IL. Esther has nine grandchildren, Gretchen, Christine, Larry, Kendrick, Robert, Jennifer, John, Sarah and Sam as well as eight step grandchildren, Susan Kathy, Scott, Paul, Paige, Matt, Patrick and Betty. Also surviving are seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William W. McClamroch. The family will receive friends from 9AM Monday until service time at 10AM at Trinity United Methodist Church, the Rev. Jim Morin officiating. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery in Crawfordsville.
