KNIGHT, Mrs. Essie Mae was born September 30, 1922 to the late Richard and Maggie Rob-ertson. Essie departed this life on Monday, July 31, 2006 at Crenshaw Community Hospital in Luverne, AL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Au-gust 5, 2006 at 1:00 PM from the Rockdale Baptist Church in Grady, Al. Presiding minister is the Rev. Samuel Robinson. Offi-ciating is the Rev. J.D. Sankey. Interment will follow in the Rockdale Churchyard Ceme-tery. She leaves to cherish her memories four children; Edna Knight of Columbus, Ohio, Ed-gar Knight and Mary Knight of Lapine, AL; and Fed Knight, Jr. of Montgomery, AL. One daughter-in-law; Sylvia Jones of Pine Level, AL; two sons-in-law, Joe Person and Michael Brown, both of Columbus, Ohio. Two sisters, Roxie Provo and Mattie (Wallace) Veasey, all of Co-lumbus, Ohio. One brother, Willie Ben Robertson of Florida; one sister-in-law, Cora Rob-ertson of Montgomery, AL; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; ten nephews; three nieces; a devoted friend Thadys Whatley, and a host of other relatives and friends. The body will lie-in-state from the Rockdale Baptist on Satur-day, August 5, 2006 12-1 PM.
