JACKSON, Mrs. Erma Christine Edgeworth, 90, a resident of Clanton, AL, died Friday, March 15, 2002, after an extended illness. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, was active in numerous civic organizations and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Clanton for nearly 65 years. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 17, 2002 in Clanton with the Rev. Johnny Trobaugh and the Rev. Fred Zeigler officiating. Mrs. Jackson was survived by two sons, John Hollis Jackson, Jr., Clanton, AL and Alex W. Jackson of Montgomery, AL; two sisters, Mrs. Sybil Hollis, Sulligent, AL and Mrs. Maureen Kasmier, Muscle Shoals, AL; three grandsons, Hollis Jackson, III, Clanton, AL, John A. Jackson, II, Montgomery, AL and Daniel G. Jackson, Montgomery, AL and one granddaughter, Anna C. Jackson, Starkville, MS. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Mayor J. Hollis Jackson of Clanton, her grandson, Alex W. Jackson, Jr. and her parents, Walter A. Edgeworth and Rebecca Lockie Edgeworth, and her stepmother, Lucille Edgeworth. The family requests that memorials be made to the Methodist Children's Home in Selma or to the Clanton Public Library.
