Emmett Miller of Stony Point, NY died January 28, 2008 in the Robert L. Yeager Health Complex, Pamona, NY. He was born in New York City on June 19, 1931. He retired as an Elevator Mechanic for Century Elevators of New York City. Emmett was a Korean War Veteran serving with the United States Marine Corps, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal. Emmett is survived by his wife Lucy and children Emmett "Jerry" Miller, Glen Miller, Christine Luedke, Greg Miller, Catherine Miller, eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, January 31, 2008 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home in Stony Point. Emmett's Funeral Service will be on Friday, February 1, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the Higgins Funeral Home. Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family.
