Emily L. Peek Goodwill Davis, age 90, of Schenectady, NY, died November 17, 2009, at Johnston Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness. All services will be private. She was born April 8, 1919 in Schenectady, NY, to the late Richard and Delima Belanger Peek. In 2008, she moved to Meadowview Assisted Living Facility in Smithfield, NC, where she enjoyed the company of many cherished friends. She is survived by a son, Donald Goodwill and his wife, Leatha of Simpsonville, SC; a daughter, Edna Bailey and her husband, Francis of Clayton, NC; a daughter-in-law, Karen Goodwill of Schenectady, NY; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Arthur and Ronald Goodwill; a daughter, Cheryl Ann Goodwill; three sisters, Loretta Lameroux, Delima Noyes, and Hilda Miller; and a brother, William Peek. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Meadowview Assisted Living, 250 NC 210 Highway, Smithfield, NC 27577. The family is being served by Minshew-Coley Funeral Home, 102 E.
