HALL, Mrs. Ellen Ashley, a resident of Montgomery, AL, expired on July 29, 2001 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2001 at 11:00 am at the Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Zion Church with Rev. Claude A. Shuford (Pastor) officiating with E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Hall was a retired school teacher from Montgomery and Bullock County Public School Systems. She leaves to cherish her loving memories; son, Willie A. Ashley; sisters, Julia M. Cogborn, Mollie L. Hardy, Bessie J. Brown; brother, Alexander (Odessa) Ashley; ten grandchildren, Winfred, Christopher, Corey, Melanie, Brandon, Kimberly, Shenitra, Martinez, Chiquita and Keldreck; step grannddaughter, Shirley Brewster; sister-in-law, Carrie Ashley; seven great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and a devoted friend, Mrs. Minnie Woods. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services. Burial will take place in Madison Cemetery.
