Born in Montezuma, GA, on November 22, 1925, she came to Bartow from Georgia, 79 years ago. She was a restaurant owner and a member of St. James A.M.E. Church, Bartow. Mrs. Carter is survived by her 2 daughters Delorise Northern, Alethia (Cecil) Dexter, both of Bartow; 2 sons, Salathielel (Tara) Carter, Bartow, Kajuan Allen, Huntsville, AL; 1 sister Darnetha White, Bartow; 25 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren & 9 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at St. James AME Church, Bartow. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Williams Funeral Home, Bartow.
