She was born on Nov. 12, 1905, in Ireland's Clonakilty, County Cork,. and was the last survivor of her family of nine sisters and brothers.In 1924, she came to Boston's Brighton at the age of 19 to participate in her sister's wedding. She settled in Brighton.Along with her husband, Mrs. Hurley owned and operated Mike's Variety Store in Boston's Charlestown.Following her retirement 35 years ago, she relocated to Tewksbury and had resided in the Carnation Drive senior housing.She was active at St. William Church in Tewksbury and traveled to Ireland many times.She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia and John Connolly of Summersfield, Fla., formerly of Billerica, and Elizabeth Olsson of Nottingham, N.H.; four sons and their wives, Michael F. and Barbara (Harmon) Hurley of Billerica, Joseph M. and Virginia (Keane) Hurley of Tewksbury, John J. and Patricia (Grant) Hurley of Aurora, Colo., and William B. and Elaine (Biucato) Hurley of Sarasota, Fla.; 27 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, cousins, and nieces and nephews.She was also mother of the late George W. Hurley.
