ANDERSON, Elizabeth JaneLee, age 71, a resident ofMontgomery, Alabama,passed away peacefully,surrounded by loved ones,at a local hospital on November 15th, 2011, after anextended strong foughtcancer battle. She wasborn in Forest, Mississippi toFormer Mississippi SupremeCourt Chief Justice andMrs. Percy M. Lee on December 13th, 1939. Shewas one of eight children.A funeral service will beheld November 18th at 7PM. at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery. Dr. JayWolf will be officiating theservice. The family will receive friends one hour priorto the service at 6 PM. A private burial will follow atGreenwood Cemetery thenext morning. Mrs. Anderson graduatedfrom Forest High School in1957 and from MississippiCollege in 1961. She is survived by her husband of 50years, Dr. James Noble Anderson; son, Dr. James Noble Anderson, Jr.,daughters;Beth Sullivan(Paul), LeeBatey(Todd),grandchildren, Christianna Lee Sullivan,Mary Elizabeth Sullivan ,Katherine Ruth Sullivan,and James Noble Anderson III, Her brothers ;retiredMississippi Supreme CourtChief Justice Roy NobleLee, Sr, Forest, Mississippi,Robert Edward Lee, Clinton, Mississippi and U.S. District Judge Tom S. Lee(Norma Ruth) of Jackson, Mississippi, as well as manyloving nieces, nephewsand cousins. She is preceded in death by brothersPercy Mercer Lee, JamesWalter Lee, Charles DavidLee and sister Annie LaurieJames. Jane will be greatly missedby all who knew and lovedher. She was a devotedlady of Christian faith. Shehad a wonderful gift of giving and providing for others. She was a very lovingmother, grandmother andwas humble, gentle andkind.
