Elizabeth Harrington, née en 1919, conjointe de James-J. -Harrington July, fille de Sam et Ellen-Newell, est décédée le 10 septembre 1919 à l'âge de 84 ans.
Elizabeth (Lil) Harrington, 84, was born September 10, 1919. She married James J. Harrington July 1941, who predeceased her in August 1971. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church for 30 years. Survived by daughter and two sons, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren: Carol Otto of Pleasant Valley, NY, Kevin and Hope Otto of Hoboken, NJ, Karin, John, Kate and Sarah Flynn of Ossining; James and Mariann Harrington, Susan, Danny, Danny Jr. and Kaitlyn Mott and James Harrington, all of Rock Tavern, NY; Robert, Kathy and Robert Harrington, Jr. of Albany, NY. Also surviving are a niece and nephew in Florida, a niece and two nephews in California and a niece in Maryland. Mrs. Harrington was also predeceased by her parents Sam and Ellen Newell Gordon of Eastchester, a sister Helen Campbell and a brother Robert Gordon. Known as Lil, she was a good friend, faithful wife and devoted mother and grandmother. For many years Lil was an active member of the Chippewa Democratic Club and served as district leader. She worked as a legal secretary for Al DelBello and Marshall Belkin until she retired in 1989. During the next ten years, she lived in Goshen, NY until her move to Bethel Nursing and Rehab Center in Croton. Throughout her life, Lil was kind, generous and loving to all those around her. Even in her last days, her smile and and concern were inspiring to her family and the patients and staff at Bethel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 at Sacred Heart Church in Yonkers with interment to follow at St. Marys Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home.
