Elizabeth H. Johnson BOILING SPRINGS- Elizabeth Lucille Heatherly Johnson, faithful wife of Rev. James L. Johnson for 62 years, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012 in Spartanburg Regional Hospice home. Elizabeth was born in Spartanburg County and grew up in West Springs, SC. Her parents were Robert L. and Lucille Henson Heatherly. After graduating from West Springs High School and the Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing and working in nine different hospitals, Elizabeth retired from Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, after over forty years of nursing. She was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, a very active member of the Joy Group, the Bill Howell Coed Sunday School class, and a former member of the Church Choir. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Lisa Johnson of Boiling Springs; two step-grandsons, Troy and Ethan Camp; a special aunt, Mae Heatherly Tucker of Jonesville,SC; two special nieces, Susan Smiley of Taylors, SC, Laura Davis and husband, Rev. Kenny Davis of Villa Rica, GA; and a very special nephew, Rev. Broadus Heatherly of Shelby, NC; two very dear friends, Joyce Silverman and her mother, Kitty Silverman. She was predeceased by three brothers, Robert L. Heatherly of Crystal River, FL, Frank Heatherly of Columbus, GA, and John David Heatherly of Chicago, IL; one half-brother, Jay Heatherly of West Springs; step-mother, Mollie Gwinn Heatherly and a special niece, Jacqueline Bailey of Spartanburg. She leaves behind many other precious nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs. A Service of Remembrance will be conducted on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Dr. Hank Williams and Rev. Bobby Lindsey. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family will be at the residence.
