Funeral service for Elizabeth "Tea" Wilson, 68, Daytona Beach, will be Sat,, Jan. 21, 2012, 11 AM at Greater New Zion Primitive Baptist Church. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Calling hours are Fri. (today), Jan. 20, 2012, 5-8 PM at R.J. Gainous Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation from 9:30 AM until service time at the church on Sat. Mrs. Wilson went home to a peaceful rest on Fri. morning, Jan, 6, 2012. She closed her eyes and slept away in Jesus, surrounded by her caring, loving family. Mother Wilson was born May 31, 1943 to the late Emma and Henry Grimes. She worked at Halifax Health Medical Center for 36 years as a Dietary Asst. She was a proud member of Greater New Zion PBC where she served as President of the Pastor's Aide Committee and on the Usher Board. She enjoyed baking her famous sweet potato pies for her church family and friends and loved going to bible study. We will forever cherish her warm and great smile. She leaves to cherish her memory: her children: Arthur Grimes, Orlando, FL; Cheryl Stephens (Sean); Bruce Johnson; Ericka Johnson, all of Daytona Beach; brothers: Robert Grimes (Helen); Fred James; Otis James (Carrie), Willie James (Mary); Derrick James; Tony James; sisters: Mary Beal; Doretha Smith (George); Deborah Ferguson (Charles), all of St. Augustine, FL; ten grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
