Douglas Wayne Adams, age 57, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013. He was a very loyal family man that loved being a papa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Adams and Jacqueline Britt; stepfather, Thomas Britt; brother, James Adams; and sister, Linda King.He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Candy Adams; daughters, Shawna (Andrew) Sumner of Sugar Hill and Courtney (Joseph) Lawson of Cumming; grandson, Adam Sumner; brother, Robert Adams of Dahlonega; sister, Ruby Hawley of Raleigh, N.C., and other loving relatives and friends also survive.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Doug to the Dawson County Humane Society.Condolences may be made at www.ingramfuneralhome.com.Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
