Douglas Glen Davis, 81, of OakRidge in Beverly Hills, died Thursday, December 2, 2010, at the Hospice House of Citrus County. He was born September 27, 1929, to Edward and Ida (Uhle) Davis in Detroit, MI. He was a graduate of Lincoln Park High School and served his country during World War II and the Korean War as a Flight Engineer in the U.S. Air Force. He was also a member of the Michigan National Guard. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 40 years of service as an Engineer and came here 11 years ago from Gulf Shores, AL. He was a Deacon and a member of the First Baptist Church of Crystal River and belonged to the American Legion Post 155. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Donald A. Davis Sr., and stepmother Olga Carter Davis. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Davis (Booker) of OakRidge in Beverly Hills, FL; a son Glen Davis and wife Cindy of Novi, MI; daughters Diana Antonucci of Dearborn Heights, MI, and Susan LaCroix of Allen Park, MI, a stepdaughter Kelly M. Galloway of Atlanta, GA; a brother Kenneth J. Davis of Stuart, FL; grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas and Amanda Antonucci, Robert Oscar LaCroix, Brandon, Brittany and Nicole Davis; a nephew Donald A. Davis Jr. and wife Linda of Grand Rapids, MI; several cousins and his beloved Spencer. Visitation will be held on Monday December 6th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Crystal River where Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday morning at 11:00 AM. Pastor Tim Lantzy will preside. Interment will be on Wednesday afternoon in the Pine Rest Memorial Park cemetery, Foley, AL.
