->BANGOR - Douglas F. Davis, 75, died Oct. 22, 2012 at a local nursing facility. He was born July 29, 1937, in New Haven, Conn., son of Floyd and Christine (Albee) Davis. Douglas served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam as an aircraft mechanic. He worked for many years at H.E. Sargent and W.D. Matthews. Douglas was an excellent mechanic and could fix anything. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fly fishing, and tying his own ties. Douglas also enjoyed spending time in his shop woodworking. In addition to his parents, Douglas was predeceased by his wife, Lila (Stevens) Davis, and stepson, Steven. Douglas is survived by his children, Doug Davis of Eddington, Greg Davis of Bradford, Chris Davis of Greenbush, Lori Bracy of Port Richie, Fla., Vicky Watson of Bangor, and Lori Argent of Bangor; grandchildren, Jessica, Brandy, Joshua, Bradley, James and Elody; great-grandchildren, Makayla and Isabelle; close friend, Glenn Clark of Dedham; many other family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. After the calling hours, relatives and friends are invited to share conversation and refreshments from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the Reception Rooms of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
