DORTHA LEE (EDGE) DAVIS, 80 WINTER HAVEN- Mrs. Dortha Lee (Edge) Davis, age 80, of Winter Haven, FL, formerly a 40 year resident of Frostproof, FL, died March 20, 2011 due to heart failure. She was born March 3, 1931 in Athens, Georgia, the daughter of late Alfred Edge and Gussie (Edge) McGuire. Dot was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Ralph Davis and her brother Alfred "Bud" Edge. She is survived by her two daughters, Monica Clement (David) of Plant City, FL and Jodi Owens (Richard) of Winter Haven, FL, her two granddaughters, Jennifer Boyce (Brian) of Winter Haven, FL and Sarah Beth Clement of Birmingham, AL and her two great grandchildren, Owen and Ella Boyce of Winter Haven, FL. Dot was a member of the First Methodist Church of Frostproof, past member and president of the Women's Club of Frostproof, past member and president of the Ladies Golf Association of the Lake Wales Country Club. She was also a member of the Polk County Ladies Golf Association. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Silver Hill Cemetery, Frostproof, FL.
