Dortha Lee Davis Dortha Lee "Dot" Davis, 84, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002. The service will be at 11 a.m. EST Thursday at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Timberlane Road Chapel (893-4177), with burial at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 9 a.m. EST until the service Thursday at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308. Dot was a 1936 graduate of Rogers High School in Rogers, Ark., a 1938 graduate of Chilliocothe Business College in Missouri and a 1944 graduate of Ouachita University in Arkansas. In 1942, she joined the WAVES during World War II. She attended Hunter College in New York for naval training, Yoeman School in Stillwater, Okla., and was later assigned to Norman, Okla.She moved to Thomasville, Ga., in 1957, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Garden Club and the Women's Auxiliary at Archibold Hospital. She moved to Tallahassee in 1971 and was an active member of Thomasville Road Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Eschol E. Davis Jr. (and wife Kathleen) of Los Angeles and Charles L. Davis of Tallahassee; a sister, Wanda West of Rogers; and three grandchildren, Michael Davis, Mika Davis and Maile Davis, all of Los Angeles.She was preceded in death by her husband, Eschol E. Davis.
