April 3, 2008 Dorothy Y. (Young) Downing, 84, of Walpole, MA, formerly of Sherburne, NY, died Thursday, April 3, 2008. Beloved wife of Edgar C. Downing; loving mother of Douglas A. and his wife, Sandra Downing of Nashua, NH, Donna and her husband, Howard Deacon of East Walpole, and Ross Downing of Renton, WA; cherished grandmother of Melissa and Thomas Delisle of Grosse Point Woods, MI, Amanda Deacon of Somers, NY, Sonja Downing and Jeremy Downing, both of Renton, WA, and Carrie Ann Downing, and a great-grandson, Cameron Downing, both of Nashua, NH; sister of the late Harvey Young. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the memorial service at 1 p.m. Tuesday in John Wesley Methodist Church, Gifford St., Falmouth, MA. Interment was in Massachusetts National Cemetery at Bourne. Memorial donations may be made to the Dorothy Young Downing Memorial Scholarship Fund at Sherburne-Earlville Central School, 15 School St., Sherburne, NY 13460, Attn: Treasurer.
