Dorothy V. St. John 1921 - 2011 WESTFIELD - Dorothy V. (Vogel) St. John , 90, of Westfield , died Friday, July 1, 2011 at home. She was born in Springfield on September 10, 1921 to the late Henry and Grace (Sheehan) Vogel. Dorothy was a graduate of Cathedral High School. She worked as a legal secretary in the law offices of W. F. Hinkley and Peter Gustina. After her children were born, she was a stay-at-home mother. Dorothy was a member of St. Patrick's Church where she was a member of the St. Patrick's Women's Club. She was involved in many community organizations including: an officer of the Talmadge P.T.A., St. Luke's Loving Hands, Brownie Leader, Den Mother, volunteered for American Heart Association and American Cancer Society, as well as many years at the Springfield Hospital. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Walter L. St. John. She leaves her devoted son, Walter Lee St. John and his wife Diane St. John of Westfield, MA; her daughter, Susan St. John Lark and her husband J. Peter Lark of East Lansing, MI; five grandchildren, all of whom she was so proud; and 8 great grandchildren. She also leaves many friends and loved ones at the Arbors of Westfield, MA. The funeral will be Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 9:30 AM from Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 30 Bartlett St. in Westfield at 10:30 AM, with burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Springfield.
