Dorothy Hutcheson Sparks, age 72, Russellville, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2011, at Akins Funeral Home; the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, August 8, 2011, will be in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Mark Trammell and Brother Jim Poss officiating. Entombment will be in Franklin Memory Gardens Mausoleum.She was preceded in death by her husbands, Larry P. Sparks and Oscar Owen Hutcheson; parents, John P. and Rosie Cook; brother, William Cook; sister, Florene Hester; infant brother, Alvie Paul Cook; niece, Selena Cook.She is survived by her children, LaResa Trammell and Mark, Jeff Hutcheson and Tammy, Mac Sparks and Jenny; grandchildren, Nick Trammell and Jessica, Mia Hutcheson, Carly Sparks, Jill Sparks; niece, Janet Stokes; nephew, Albert Hester; special dog, Sophie.She was a member of North Russellville Baptist Church.
