-> Sylvania - Mrs. Dorothy S. Mobley, age 76, died Thursday, February 26, 2004, at Syl-View Health Care Center. She was retired from the Allied Department Store where she worked as the assistant manager for 33 years, was a member of the Sylvania First United Methodist Church, and a member of the Sara Waters Circle of United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack B. Mobley. Survivors: one daughter, Frances Dixon "Dixie" Mobley, Sylvania. one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Anda H. Mobley, Anderson, S.C. two grandchildren, Jackson Mobley, Sylvania, and Michael Mobley, Anderson, S.C., and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 28th, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Thompson -Strickland-Waters funeral home in Sylvania, GA. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, February 29th, at 3:00 p.m. at the Sylvania First United Methodist Church. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, GA 30459.
