-> Dorothy Rose Armstrong Lee died August 8, 2005 at Candler Hospital after a lengthy illness. Dorothy Rose Armstrong Lee was born June 26, 1920 in Savannah, Georgia. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an active member of the Herschel V. Jenkins High School Booster Club. She was retired from Varnedoe Chisholm Stock Brokerage. Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, Charles Weyman Lee, Sr. and her son Charles Weyman Lee, Jr. Mrs. Lee was raised and a very active member of The First Church of Christ, Scientist. She later became a member of Robert McIntire United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Langley Lee of Baton Rouge, LA, Mr. and Mrs. David Edward Lee of Savannah, GA; three grandsons, Charles Weyman Lee III, of Birmingham, AL, Richard Edward Lee of Rincon, GA, Dr. Christopher Lee of Prairieville, LA; three granddaughters, Jennifer Lee of Richmond, VA, Colleen Lee Sapp of Baton Rouge, LA and Allison Lee-Hasley of Athens, GA; three great-granddaughters and one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday, August 10, 2005 from 6-8 p.m., at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel. Graveside services conducted by Rev. Dr. Grover Bell at 11 a.m., Thursday at Greenwich Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Savannah, Inc., P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA. 31416.
