AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Dorothy Brandon Reynolds of Augusta, homemaker and widow of the late James E. Reynolds Sr., died Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Golden Living Center of Augusta. Mrs. Reynolds was a native of Augusta and was born to the late Henry Thomas and Nancy Alma Hendrix Brandon in 1920. She was former employee of Alan Parker Finance, Elliott Sons Funeral Home, and St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a former member and president of the local chapter of the Credit Women Association and the local chapter of the Secretaries' Association, and a former member of the Mount Vernon Garden Club. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the Altar Guild and the Hostess Team, served on the Stewardship Committee and taught Sunday School. She is survived by two sons, James E. Reynolds Jr. and his wife Jo Gillett Reynolds of Newington, Ga., and Reginald Lee Reynolds and his wife Catherine Phillips of Buckhead, Ga.; a daughter, Helen Reynolds Stone and her husband John A. Stone of Augusta; a brother, Leonard Brandon of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a sister, Georgia Brandon Malpass of Augusta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Tracye Victoria Stone and Suzanne Reynolds Stone of Augusta, Philip Austin Stone of Portsmouth, Va., and Pamela Reynolds Slawson of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; six great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Mobley; a brother, Turner Brandon; and sisters, Mary Brandon Anderson and Adele Burkhalter. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 3 PM Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Telfair Street. Graveside services will be held 3 PM, Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Magnolia Cemetery.
