->Morris, Dorothy RDorothy R Morris (Judy), born on December 6, 1923 to the late Geneva Nettie (Kays) Taylor and Herbert Colsten, passed away on May 3, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis D. Morris; step-father Percy Taylor; sisters Mary Scribner, Jean Johnson, Helen "Pee Wee" Beers; brother Francis "Mickey" Colsten; special cousin and cousin's son Harriet and Dennis Butler; and nephew Robert Lyons. Judy is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Jeanne and John Wayne Crawford; two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Sue Ann Morris, and Gerald and Alice Parker Morris; sister and brother-in-law Barbara (Peaches) and Sidney Doolittle; step-brother George (Butch) Taylor; nine grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren, and 19 nieces/nephews. She graduated from Binghamton North High School in 1942 and served in the US Navy during World War II as an Aviation Machinist Mate 3rd Class. After losing her husband of 23 years to heart disease in 1969, she went to work at B&G Labs. Her hard work enabled her children to complete their college educations. Throughout her life, Judy placed the needs of others ahead of her own. In addition to her children, she was a loving caregiver to her father, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors and countless others. She dearly loved her grandchildren. Her unique sense of humor will be dearly missed. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton. Fr. Corey VanKuren will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
