EVANS, Dorothy Q.Dorothy Q. Evans, better known as Dee or Mimi, to her friends and family, of Port St. Lucie, formerly of Lynn Haven, FL, passed away on May 23, 2014 at the age of 92. was born in Beckley, West Virginia, the only child of E. Alfred and Alma Quesenberry. She has been a resident of Port St. Lucie since 2005, moving from Panama City. Dorothy had worked as for Minute Maid and BellSouth prior to retiring. She was a member of 1st United Methodist Church of Beckley, W.V., and was the past Queen of the Daughters of the Nile of Palm Beach County. Dorothy enjoyed the ocean, but mostly loved spending time with her family. Dorothy was the loving mother of Bob Evans, and his wife Jean, of Port St. Lucie, Jack Evans, and his wife Lorayne, of Panama City, and Mava Andrea, and her husband Bill, of West Palm Beach; cherished grandmother of Brian Evans, Theresa Jones, Bill Evans, Christopher Evans, Chad Evans, and Heath Evans; and adored great grandmother of nine. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Henry Harmon Evans Jr. A gathering of friends and family will be from 10 to 11 am, with a memorial service at 11 am, on Saturday, May 31st, at Yates Funeral Home & Crematory, 1101 South US Highway 1, Fort Pierce, FL 34950.
