Perry, Dorothy G.Dorothy G (Bassett) Perry, age 93, resident of Trumbull, passed away on January 18, 2014 at Maefair Health Care Center. Born in Cheltenham, England on February 11, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gladys Bassett. She was the beloved wife to the late Vernon Perry and was also predeceased by her loving son Vernon (Joe) Perry and grandson Joseph Perry. She came to CT in 1952 and resided in Bridgeport for many years. Dorothy worked at McKesson and Robbins before leaving to raise her family. Dorothy enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her sons Kenneth and wife Mary Ann Perry and Thomas and wife Susan Perry, both of Trumbull, and Robert Dewick and wife Gill of Cornwall England; her nine grandchildren Jennifer Perry de la Rosa and Diane Perry McMullin of Boston, Joseph Perry of Darien, Melissa Perry of Shelton, Jonathan Perry of Trumbull, Lisa Perry of Stratford, Meghan Perry of Milford and Keverne and Nikki Dewick of England. She is also survived by six great grandchildren Luca, Sofia, Lucy, Rosie, Brendan and Josef. The family is very grateful to the staff of Maefair Healthcare Center for their loving care of Dorothy over the past seven years and to Masonicare Hospice in her final days. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Cyril F Mullins Funeral Home 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT. Interment in Long Hill Cemetery, Trumbull, CT.
