DOROTHY OWENS TITUSVILLE Dorothy M. Owens, 73, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at Parrish Medical Center. Dot, as she was known, began her volunteer service at Parrish Medical Center in Janu ary of 1999. She was a member of the Parrish Medical Center Auxiliary Executive Board in 2002 and served in several leadership roles from 2003 to present. She was commited to helping others. Dot had accumulated over 5300 volunteer hours. Dot and her smile will be missed. She worked for JC Penny and retired after 27 years of service. Mrs. Owens is survived by her daughter, Beverly Ritter; son, Richard (Donna) Owens; and grandchildren, Shawn Ritter and Jerry Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie and sister, Audrey Webster. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Sep tember 15th, at North Brevard Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sep tember 16th, in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parrish Medical Center Auxiliary or to the SPCA in Titusville. North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville has been entrusted with final arrangements.
